Simba, Yanga fails to agree on Kessy

AFTER weeks of discussions between Simba and Young Africans on defender Hassan Kessy controversial transfer saga, negotiations have hit brick wall.

It is reported that discussions have hit snag after the two sides failed to get solution on the matter and the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF), Legal and Players Status Committee will now deliver ruling on the matter within this week.
TFF Information and Communication Officer, Alfred Lucas confirmed to journalists yesterday that the issue has now been taken back to the committee, which is set to meet this weekend to deliver the judgment.
Initially, the committee under its Vice-Chairman, Raymond Wawa, requested Simba and Yanga to seek solution on the matter under the mediation of renowned Advocate and sports administrator, Said El Maamry but the two sides failed to agree and the matter has been returned to the committee once again.
Simba are demanding a compensation of 600m/- after its former defender Kessy violated his valid contract with the Msimbazi street based club and decided to cross to their archrivals Yanga, where he signed a two-year deal at the end of last season. Lucas further said that the TFF Legal and Players Status Committee met last Sunday and ordered Simba to provide salary slip payment documents of the player for the last three months of his contract with the club, which was valid until June 15th, this year, as reported. The overlapping fullback joined Simba in 2014 from Mtibwa Sugar, but had been at loggerhead with the leadership within one year of serving the club.
It was reported that the diminutive defender was demanding several things which the club failed to provide as per their contract. In another development, the committee has also ordered the TFF Secretariat to deliver the ruling to Simba SC on the payment of their former Assistant Coach, Uganda Amatre Richard.
Meanwhile, the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) has ordered Yanga to present the official letter that proves the membership nullification of the former club’s Executive Committee members Hashim Abdallah, Ayoub Nyenzi and Salum Mkemi.
Nyenzi, Abdallah and Mkemi membership were nullified by the club’s emergency general meet ing held at the Diamond Ju bilee Hall in Dar es Salaam few months ago, after fil ing case in the court. Yanga Secretary General, Baraka Deusdedit, agreed to submit the document before the committee’s meeting this weekend.
The committee has also ordered Yanga to pay compensation to its three former players, whose contracts were ter minated prematurely. The players are Jerry Tegete, Omega Seme and Thabit Mo hammed.
